Product Description
The Sunrise Medical Empulse R10 Power Assist mounts to compatible box-frame manual wheelchairs, delivering powered assistance for carers and attendants.
Automatic Assistance mode detects walking movement and matches propulsion to the attendant’s pace. The faster the attendant walks, the more support the system provides. When no hands are detected on the push handles, the distance detection sensor pauses movement to support safety.
Constant Speed Assistance mode maintains a selected speed at the press of a button, reducing effort on slopes up to 8°. Three maximum speed settings (1.5 km/h, 3 km/h and 4.5 km/h) allow adjustment to suit different environments.
The R10 folds with the wheelchair, simplifying transport. The drive wheel detaches easily by pulling the docking pin, and the lightweight components break down into compact parts for storage. A backpack houses the removable 36 V, 5 AH lithium-ion battery and charger, keeping components organised.
The accessible charging port allows convenient charging while mounted or separately, with approximately 3-hour charging time for a spare battery.
