Product Description

The Batec Rapid 2 Plus Power Assist connects securely to a compatible manual wheelchair, converting it into a powerful electric handbike for urban and semi-rural environments.

It inherits the 48 V 768 Wh battery platform from the Scrambler range but packages it into a smaller 18” wheel configuration for improved agility. The 1200 W rated motor (1300 W peak) with reverse gear delivers strong acceleration and maintains performance across varied terrain.

The 18” ultra-grip tyre supports confident handling on asphalt, cobblestones, compact dirt roads and rural tracks. A Galfer Wave 180 mm floating brake disc and Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes provide controlled stopping performance.

The aluminium frame adjusts in four directions to support customised positioning. Handlebar options are available for paraplegic, quadriplegic and hemiplegic individuals, including gas & brake configurations and monolever brake systems.

The 768 Wh battery delivers up to 55 km manufacturer-stated range, depending on terrain and riding conditions.

The Rapid 2 Plus is not suitable for air travel due to battery capacity.

Who it’s for

  • For experienced wheelchair clients seeking a sporty, high-powered electric handbike for urban and recreational riding.
  • For therapists prescribing a performance-focused front attachment with strong acceleration and extended range.
