The Hernik Hero XL Car Seat is Australasia’s first extended rear-facing car seat for children with disabilities. It’s designed to help protect children who have limited head and trunk control by maintaining a safer rear-facing position for longer.
With no ISOFIX required, the seat installs using the vehicle’s seatbelt system, supported by straps to the lower tether points. This offers flexibility across a wider range of vehicles while maintaining a secure setup.
The Hero XL includes a range of fully adjustable postural features to support comfort and alignment. Lateral trunk supports, medial thigh support and padded tray tables can all be tailored to the child’s size and needs. The seat depth is also adjustable, ensuring a supportive fit as the child grows.
Safety is prioritised through the integrated, quick-release 5-point harness, as well as side impact protection and a dynamic headrest. These elements work together to reduce movement during travel and support safe positioning in the event of sudden braking or impact.
