Product Description
The Sunrise Medical Empulse R90 Power Assist mounts beneath the seat using the V-Lock™ docking system, securing quickly to compatible rigid and folding wheelchairs. Its compact, under-seat position maintains the wheelchair’s original size and turning circle.
The centre-drive wheel sits directly under the rider, enabling precise 360° manoeuvring without fishtailing or rear overhang. When assistance is not required, the patent-pending wheel-up function lifts the drive wheel to eliminate rolling resistance.
A wireless Control Box connects via Bluetooth®, allowing push-button operation. Speed adjusts easily, and cruise-style functionality maintains a chosen pace. The control unit mounts ergonomically on the wheelchair frame and detaches for transfers or travel.
The R90 offers two removable lithium-ion battery options. The standard 2.5 AH battery supports up to 15.8 km range and meets airline carry-on regulations (airline confirmation required). The extended 5 AH battery increases range up to 31 km.
Integrated suspension and a durable airless rubber tyre reduce vibration and support a smooth ride across varied surfaces.
The Sunrise Intelligence App enables performance profile selection, speed adjustment, battery monitoring and wheel position control.
