Product Description
The Batec Hybrid 2 Power Assist connects securely to a compatible manual wheelchair, creating a hybrid mobility system similar to an electrically assisted bicycle.
A high-power brushless motor (900 W rated, 1050 W peak) delivers responsive support when required. Pedal-assist technology allows riders to exercise while receiving motor assistance on inclines or during longer rides. The system enables uphill starts without requiring a full pedal rotation.
The Hybrid 2 includes an Electric (E) mode, allowing seamless switching between electric and manual operation without losing power to lights or horn and without turning off the battery.
The 20” wheel with ultra-adherent Maxxis tyre provides traction across asphalt, cycle paths, compact dirt tracks and moderate trails. The torque sensor supports responsive power delivery based on pedalling input.
Two lithium battery options are available:
- 280 Wh battery – 27 km – 40 km manufacturer-stated range
- 576 Wh battery – 55 km – 80 km manufacturer-stated range
The 280 Wh battery complies with IATA flight regulations (airline confirmation required).
Handlebar configurations include quad grips, Magic Lever assisted start system and shift lever operation to suit paraplegic and quadriplegic individuals. Mechanical disc brakes with 203 mm rotor and power cut-off sensor support controlled braking.
The aluminium frame adjusts in four directions to support customised positioning.
Who it’s for
- For active wheelchair clients who want to combine physical exercise with electric assistance.
