Product Description
The Sunrise Medical Empulse F35 Power Assist connects to the front of a compatible manual wheelchair, converting it into a compact powered pull system. Its micro design focuses on portability, manoeuvrability and fast attachment.
Weighing from 7.5 kg on the wheelchair, the F35 integrates cabling and battery within the frame tube to reduce lifting weight and streamline handling. Folding and locking handles sit flush to the frame, minimising storage space and protecting components during transport.
Patent-pending one-motion docking allows fast connection and release. The lightweight 1.5 kg sub-frame can remain mounted throughout the day, simplifying reattachment.
A 250 W motor provides three selectable speed levels (6 km/h, 10 km/h and 15 km/h). In line with ILS listing guidelines, maximum listed speed is capped at 10 km/h. The F35 manages slopes up to 6° with a 110 kg individual weight and offers a driving range of up to 15 km.
Cruise control maintains a steady speed at the touch of a button, while dual braking systems – electronic and mechanical – support controlled deceleration and secure parking. The Intelligent Battery Management System optimises battery performance and supports rapid charging in approximately 2 hours – 2.5 hours.
The lithium-ion battery is IATA approved for air travel (subject to airline confirmation), supporting confident travel planning.
