Description
The Raz ZUM Self-Propelled Mobile Shower Commode features a folding aluminium frame engineered to maintain rigidity during transfers and daily care routines. The low-pivot cross brace with forward arch allows the chair to position fully over a toilet, supporting optimal alignment between the seat aperture and toilet bowl.
Rear wheel propulsion enables independent mobility. The chair is available with 55.9 cm (22”) or 61 cm (24”) rear wheels, allowing setup based on functional ability and propulsion preference. Multi-position axle plates provide 3.8 cm (1.5”) of horizontal adjustment to optimise positioning over the toilet. A further 5.1 cm (2”) of fore/aft rear wheel adjustment helps fine-tune centre-of-mass for propulsion efficiency and stability. Quick-release axles are standard, and custom axle receivers allow use of a client’s own wheelchair wheels if desired.
The 45.7 cm (18”) wide frame fits over most standard toilets while maintaining unrestricted front and side access for transfers and hygiene routines.
The moulded seat supports pressure reduction and pelvic stability and is available in two sizes. Seventeen standard seat options are available, along with custom configurations.
Raz’s Ischial and Pelvic Alignment System (IPAS) provides 5.1 cm (2”) of fore/aft seat adjustment, allowing the aperture to be centred around the pelvis. The seat locks in place for transfers and removes for cleaning.
Adjustable footrests, flip-up arm supports and a lidded commode pan are included. A wide range of Raz accessories allows configuration to suit individual postural and hygiene requirements.
