Description
The Raz CAT Mobile Shower Commode Chair has a 45.7 cm (18”) seat and frame width, allowing easy positioning over most toilets while improving manoeuvrability in tight bathroom spaces.
A depth-adjustable backrest allows seat depths from 27.9 cm – 40.6 cm (11” – 16”). The back frame can also adjust fore and aft, supporting growth and evolving postural needs. This makes the Raz CAT particularly suitable for paediatric and adolescent prescriptions.
The tilt-in-space function provides smooth, infinite adjustment up to 40° using locking pneumatic springs. Tilt supports pressure redistribution, positioning and hygiene routines. A tilt assist pedal allows attendants to initiate tilt using leg strength, supporting safer handling when assisting heavier individuals or those with forward weight distribution.
The contoured moulded seat promotes pelvic stability and pressure reduction. An oblong aperture accommodates seat depth adjustment, and Raz’s Ischial Pelvic Alignment System (IPAS) enables 5.1 cm (2”) fore/aft or 2.5 cm (1”) lateral seat adjustment for precise positioning.
The stainless steel frame offers 10.2 cm (4”) of height adjustment without interfering with toilet bowls. Dual-locking castors secure both swivel and roll functions during transfers and care tasks.
Back frames are available in multiple widths and heights, with tension-adjustable upholstery and adjustable back angle. A wide range of Raz accessories allows the chair to be configured for complex postural requirements, including custom seats.
