Symmetrikit Primo

The Symmetrikit Primo provides structured early years positioning in a simple, portable format. Designed for use on any flat surface, it creates a safe, supportive environment for infants and young children with additional postural needs.

The system includes a built-in temperature-regulating top sheet and pressure-relieving materials to support comfort during rest and play. Its ‘Baby Soft’ construction offers a gentle surface while still delivering the postural input required to encourage midline positioning and symmetry.

A range of cushion shapes and positioning components are available to address individual body shape, muscle tone and alignment needs. ILS trained Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) work closely with early intervention teams, therapists and families to assess each child’s presentation and functional goals. Following assessment, we recommend the most appropriate supports to create an individualised positioning plan that can evolve as the child grows.

Primo supports early symmetrical lying, which may assist with improved range of movement, more efficient handling and participation in daytime activities. Supports can be introduced progressively, helping young children build tolerance while maintaining comfort.

Compact and lightweight, the system packs into an all-in-one carry bag, making it practical for use at home, in therapy settings or while travelling.

All fabrics are machine washable and suitable for cool drying. The base unit, cushions and wedges are wipe-clean to support hygiene in busy family environments. Primo meets relevant flammability, breathability and airflow standards.
