Product Description
The Permobil SmartDrive MX2+ Power Assist mounts discreetly to the rear of a manual wheelchair and delivers motorised support when needed. It engages to assist over longer distances, thick carpet and inclines, helping reduce repetitive pushing and upper limb fatigue.
SmartDrive moves with the wheelchair, maintaining manoeuvrability for tight turns, wheelies and everyday obstacles. Its patented OmniWheel design maintains traction and stays engaged in different positions, supporting smooth performance across varied surfaces and slopes up to 10°.
Weighing just 6 kg, the SmartDrive MX2+ removes easily for transport and integrates with a wide range of manual wheelchair types, including rigid, folding, tilt-in-space and one-arm drive configurations.
Multiple control options allow tailored operation. The standard package includes SwitchControl, with optional mono jack compatibility for external switches. Wearable compatibility includes Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch, enabling tap gesture control, speed adjustments and access to battery and distance tracking via the SmartDrive MX2+ app. The PushTracker app also facilitates adjustments to settings and firmware updates.
