Description
The Invacare Azalea Tilt-in-Space Wheelchair is designed to meet postural, pressure care and mobility needs for people with higher support requirements.
Available in self-propelled and transit versions and various seating widths, the Azalea caters to a wide range of body shapes and postural needs.
The Azalea provides up to 25° of seat tilt and 30° of backrest recline, both adjusted via a manual lever. A biomechanical backrest hinge moves with the person’s body for more natural support during repositioning. The Dual Stability System (DSS) shifts the seat system inside the frame during tilt to reduce shear and maintain balance.
Adjustability is a core feature: seat depth, backrest angle, armrest height and legrest length can all be tailored. The system also includes an adjustable headrest, lateral supports, calf pads and a seatbelt as standard.
The durable frame supports up to 135 kg, and the wheelchair remains easy to manoeuvre indoors or out, with a 77 cm turning radius.
Its multi-stretch PU fabric is easy to clean, while tool-free adjustments simplify ongoing setup and care.
