Product Description
The Mimos Baby Pillow is designed for children with positional plagiocephaly, a condition where repeated pressure on one area of the skull causes flattening. The pillow must only be used under the direction of a qualified healthcare professional.
Its soft, breathable 3D polyester mesh and central cavity help reduce pressure on the back or side of the head, supporting symmetrical head shape development.
When prescribed as part of a treatment plan, the pillow may be used during sleep, or during supervised awake time in a stroller, car seat or playmat. It encourages natural head movement, helping to promote neck muscle development and reduce side preference.
Available in multiple sizes, the Mimos Baby Pillow suits premature babies through to older children and adults with positional head shape concerns.
It is lightweight, machine washable and quick drying for everyday use.
For clinical context and management options, refer to the Royal Children’s Hospital Clinical Practice Guideline on positional plagiocephaly.
Who it’s for
- For children diagnosed with positional plagiocephaly, who need gentle pressure redistribution, as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
- For therapists requiring treatment interventions to support head positioning strategies as part of a comprehensive care plan.
