The Greater Sydney Community Care Assistive Technology Professionals and our Industry Clinical Educators bring you a comprehensive clinical education program.
Twenty-Four- Hour positioning goes well beyond “Night-Time” positioning. A comprehensive client assessment must take into consideration posture, pressure, and function for all of the Assistive Technology that is involved in a client’s care. We will discuss a methodological evidenced-based approach to the assessment process and how to discern the product features that are critical to meeting the needs of the client. This includes lying and sitting posture and pressure from beds/mattresses to self-care commodes, transfer devices, mobility bases, and other support surfaces.
You will be able to identify critical questions that need to be answered related to identifying clients at high risk of seated pressure related injuries. Case examples as well as interactive discussion will be utilized to navigate our way through this critical assessment and Intervention process.
